Adaptive Re-contouring for Adaptive Therapy

MIM provides tools to greatly improve your ability to perform Adaptive Therapy. Fusion of CBCT's or MV CT's to the planning CT allows dose and structures to be visualized on the image of the day aiding replanning decisions.

The time to re-contour a new planning CT is dramatically reduced by deforming the contours from the patient's previous planning CT to match the anatomy on the current planning CT1-3 - making adaptive therapy a practical part of your workflow.

With the generation of new plans during a course of treatment, deformable dose accumulation allows you to obtain a more accurate picture of the dose delivered making dose-guided adaptive therapy possible.

Key features

  • deform contours from the previous to current planning CT
  • studies have shown timesavings of 66-86% compared with manual re-contouring1,2
  • makes quick and consistent replanning during treatment possible
  • also save time when replanning due to changes from chemo started prior to RT or changes in immobilization used

MIM has made adaptive replanning of head and neck IMRT cases a feasible standard operating procedure in our department. MIM has decreased physician turnaround of approved volumes by a significant amount."
