Radiation Oncology - Deformable Registration

Automatic Deformable Registration

MIMcontouring Advanced, utilizing the VoxAlign Deformation EngineTM, unlocks the power of deformable registration in Radiation Oncology, correcting anatomical differences between CT scans.1

You can dramatically reduce contouring time using deformable atlas-based segmentation2,3 and adaptive re-contouring.4,5 With these techniques, entire structure sets, including target volumes, are generated automatically.

Gated CT studies can now be contoured from a single phase matching the size, shape, and location of structures in each of the remaining phases.

PET/CTs can be aligned to the planning CT with greater accuracy using Deformable Co-registration, which corrects non-rigid differences in alignment often occurring between the PET/CT and planning CT.

Deformable Co-registration of dose maps allows for Dose-Guided Adaptive Radiation Therapy. Viewing the previously delivered dose on your patient's current anatomy can have a dramatic impact on your replanning decision.

The MIM deformable software has not only streamlined a very laborious but very necessary part of treatment planning; it has allowed easy integration of new imaging technology to better identify areas of active tumor."
